HAPPY DAVEMIERS.COM VERSION 3.0 DAY!

Pancakes. Schnitzel. Pizza. What a great way to celebrate your birthday! Today is mine. I turned 33. I’m cool with that. I had my quarter life crisis 3 years ago and have resolved to not to waste however many years are yet to come. The year Jesus Christ of Nazareth turned 33 was significant. In the culmination of 3 years of public ministry Jesus – the only one of whom it could be said he was without sin – died on the cross in the place of sinners. 3 days later Jesus rose from the dead and guarantees eternal life to all who trust in him. Jesus is the Saviour King. I’m 100% certain that my 33rd year won’t have the same impact on the world as Jesus’ 33rd year continues to have! So my 33rd year will be a worthwhile one if I can continue to encourage others to consider Jesus.

DAVEMIERS.COM VERSION 3.0

A few weeks ago I began working on a new design for this blog. Last week the design went live. And today is the official launch. Boom! What else does a launch involve? Not much. But I figured that today was as good a day as any to officially launch. Happy 3.0 day to you dear bloggy blog…

TECH SPECS

I still liked my previous design, but was keen to move to a more mobile friendly design. Close to 40% of visitors to my website view it from a mobile device. So this new design from Studio Press using the Genesis framework (affiliate links) features RESPONSIVE WIDTH design. That means the site will adjust the widths accordingly whether viewing from a mobile, tablet or desktop. I still have a few things to edit, so please contact me, or leave a comment below if there’s anything that looks out of place. Thanks.

NEW FEATURES

• The about page has been updated including an intro video.
• A new about picture across different platforms: this blog; Facebook; Twitter and Instagram. The photo in the hoodie was taken in 2007, it was time for something a bit more mature as well :)
• A few small changes to the preaching page.
• A catalogue of different initiatives on the project page.
